Improving the lives of young people and supporting families affected by child bereavement

Therapy Grants

amy robinson charity

The Amy Robinson Foundation will soon be able to offer grants to families to access therapy from professionals experienced in dealing with child bereavement. The grants can be used for parents to access therapeutic support following the loss of a child, or for children affected by the loss of a sibling.

The recognised therapies we support include traditional counselling along with lesser known options such as art therapy, play therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and cognitive behavioural therapy.

Getting the right professional support at the right time is essential in helping families cope and start to rebuild their lives. However, financial constraints and limited resources available through statutory services mean that often many families have long waits before accessing this kind of help and ongoing support. We hope these grants will support families in accessing therapy sooner.
